Here Ye, Here Ye! We formally summon all dogs and their faithful subjects to a magical event called Fido’s Festival USA®. No need to hang out at your castle when you have an invitation to attend THE dog event of the year. Jump in your carriage and head over to Fido’s Festival USA® for fun and excitement.
Fido's Festival USA® is proud to present two full days of dog-centered, dog-loving fun and activities for you and your human family. This is your chance to be King or Queen.
Below are some of the fun doggie activities that we have lined up so far. As always, be sure to check back often as we confirm more great activities for our four-legged friends!
Join “King” Fido for a fun parade where you can dress as your favorite fairy tale character. Perhaps you have always dreamed of being Cinderella, The Big Bad Wolf, an evil queen or one of the seven dwarfs. This is your opportunity to make your fairy tale fantasy come true.
Immediately following the parade the costume contest will begin. See our Canine Contest page for contest categories and information.
They'll huff and they'll puff and they'll blow the house down! The world champion dogs and Lawrence Frederick are back! Lawrence, a native of Penns Grove, started out playing in human Frisbee competitions until he discovered the disc dog world in 1991. Now, the most widely recognized Frisbee Dog Team in the world, they hold a world record 47 World Finals appearances.
Lawrence and “Harley Davidson” won the 2008 & 2010 AWI Disc Dog World Championships & then he turned around three weeks later and won The 2010 Skyhoundz Disc Dog World Championships with “Flash”. In 2012, despite playing injured, Lawrence finished in 2nd, 3rd, 4th& 15th overall and 3rd in Pairs. As a dog lover, and a former human Frisbee World Champion, Lawrence travels around the world sharing his expertise and wowing crowds as part of the Disc-Connected K9’s Frisbee Dog Team.
This team has performed all over the world in the past nineteen years at all types of events. You may have also seen them on David Letterman, Jay Leno, Kathy & Regis, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, ESPN, Good Morning America, Animal Attractions, Sabado Sensational, etc...)
All of the dogs are “rescue” dogs and were either abandoned, homeless, in shelters or humane societies. They are now top performers who will keep you laughing and clapping in awe at the tricks these dogs perform. You will be enchanted, we promise!
All of Fido’s royal subjects deserve a castle of their own. Come and meet our shelter and rescue dogs as they take to the Grand Stage to hopefully meet their knight in shining armor who will whisk them away to their new kingdom where they will live happily ever after. If you are looking for someone who will never let you down, someone who will remain loyal no matter what, who will greet you with big sloppy kisses, and will bring you joy and some tail wagging fun, you've come to the right place! Be part of the audience and take a peek at some less fortunate dogs seeking a new family to love them as they prance across the Grand Stage hoping to find a new forever home. Don't miss this opportunity to meet your new best friend!
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fastest of them all? Whether a little princess or a mighty giant, no particular talent is required to participate in this activity! At The National Canine Cancer Foundation's Lure for a Cure High Performance Lure Course, dogs of all sizes and all breeds can participate. Watch as your best friend chases a tail around an enclosed course complete with obstacles and a timer. Dogs can run for fun or compete for their very own ribbon. No rehearsals. No training. Just excitement, fun, and pure running instinct that drives the dog to chase the tail. Fido LOVES this sport and gives it two paws up! Let your dog give it a try.
"Lure for a Cure" race charges a modest fee with proceeds going to funding canine cancer research. Extra fee for participation paid directly to "Lure for a Cure" with no financial gain to the festival. Tickets are $7.50 for one time around the course or $10.00 for three times around the course.
Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it’s off to play we go! All royal subjects are summoned to The Enchanted Forest Playground sponsored by Camp Bow Wow of Cherry Hill, NJ. Feel free to whistle while you play, enjoy some exercise and run a round with your new friends in our play area.
The enclosed playground will include two separate areas where small and large dogs will be supervised by the experienced and qualified employees of Camp Bow Wow.
The Enchanted Forest Playground is complimentary throughout the weekend.
